Something Like “About”
I like wandering around taking pictures of things and events, writing about certain things, not writing about other things, sketching, painting, thinking, sitting still like the hummingbird, Henry Miller, Henri Cartier-Bresson, drinking coffee, making coffee and many other things too numerous to list.
This blog isn’t really a blog. But it’s certainly not a professional photography website either (mainly because I’m not a professional). I’m not really sure what it is—just a place for me to share my pictures, I suppose. Most of these are from within Annapolis, but occasionally I get outside of the city, and sometimes even the state! And, there was this one time when I even got out of the country for two whole months! Incredible! I have yet to develop that film though. And this makes for the perfect segue.
Currently I shoot a Leica M4 with a 50mm Leica lens. Many of these pictures, though, were shot with a small, japan made, aperture priority rangefinder: the Yashica Electro 35 GSN. I only use Ilford films, except when I occasionally shoot color. For B/W work those would be Delta 400, Delta 3200, or HP5+. For color stuff: Fuji Velvia 100.
I’m not really trying to sell these as prints, though I’m certainly not adverse to doing so. However, that’s not really the point of the site: to sell prints. I’m not really sure of the point of this website. I think I made it simply to see what will happen.
I hope you like it!
